If you are suffering from your ADSL Net getting disconnected in 5 - 10 minutes after connecting and then nothing works then this is the solution for you. Many people suffer from the problem. After a few minutes of their connecting to Internet, a weird Win32 Service error shows up and then you can neither disconnect Internet nor can you reconnect it. All you can do is just restart the machine and then go through this process all over again and again.

Microsoft did provide patches for the same later but by then the problem was resolved by the experts. Also those people who do not have fast Internet cannot use those patches. So is there a solution for it without downloading the patches and just tweaking some settings in Windows XP. Fortunately the answer is yes. There are just 2 changes that you need to make. They are described in detail below:

First of all comes system security. So when you start Registry Editor (method is shown below) take a backup of the Registry as this is one of the core components of your Windows Installation. Backing up registry would help you to restore the changes you will make and would save you from a lot of headache later on. To create a backup of registry, navigate to File and click on Export. This will create a backup of your registry which can be restored again.

Click on Start button in the taskbar and navigate to Run. Type "regedit" without quotes in it and press enter. Now on the left panel, navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Expand it and navigate to SYSTEM. Then navigate to CurrentControlSet. In it expand NetBT. Navigate to Parameters. Now in the right panel locate TransportBindName. Just double click it and delete the default value which currently is Devices.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> System --> CurrentControlSet --> NetBT --> Parameters --> TransportBindName

Now navigate again to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. In it locate Softwares. Now go to Microsoft and expand it. Locate Ole in it. Now in the right panel just locate the value EnableDCOM. The default value in would be Y. Double click it and make the default value N. Now just close Registry Editor and restart the machine. Connect to Internet and voila the net now no longer gets disconnected.

You could also have changed the values of NetBIOS but generally changing the values of these two parameters would eliminate the problem for all. You would not be required to change those values.

Broadband ?You Don't Know What Your Missing

The days of 56kb internet dial up are rapidly disappearing, If you have not yet joined in with most of the world and had broadband installed you really are missing out!

I feel sorry for those who are still spending tedious hours waiting for downloads to complete and pages to load! Broadband is ground-breaking, most people are put off because they feel the cost of broadband is too high however you will find that the cost involved is not much different to dial up.

The installation of broadband is simple and usually involves one visit from an Internet Service Provider. The existing line can more often than not be used, the only addition you will need to purchase is a cable modem these are normally supplied by the internet service provider upon installation if not they are cheap and easy to purchase online or from your local electrical store

Broadband is essential for people who work from home, when sending documents and downloading files your work time will decrease substantially if the files and documents are sent and received over broadband

If you decide to have broadband installed you need to firstly check that it is available in your area. Once you know the answer to this you are only a phone call away from installation.

Most companies offer an online check where you enter your postcode and they will tell you if the service is available in your area, if it is new to your area you may find a waiting list.

Once you have made your call you will need to consider which broadband speed you would like obviously the faster the speed the more expensive it becomes. Broadband speed will persist to rise as technology moves forward.

If you are unsure what speed you require or if you are ready for broadband always check to see if your service provider offers any sort of free trial, they will, they know once you have tried it you simply can not go back!

Speak to friends and family about broadband they will not have a bad word to say, the only real problem is you get used to it and forget how slow dial up was, and as the speeds increase you just have to flow with it and get faster too

Even if you opt for the minimum package with the lower speed you will still be impressed with what broadband has to offer.

Having broadband can save you so much money, think of all the times you have left the house to look at something in a shop because it just takes too long to load up the pages via the internet, not any more!

Broadband will change how you shop and how you spend your recreational time.

If you are like me then you'd rather perform an Xbox 360 self repair than having to send it away to Microsoft and wait ages on top of paying expensive prices to get it fixed.

One of the main reasons that this console has problems is down to overheating!

Inside the console is the same Bonded Adsl as PC so no wonder it gets overheated easy. Looked at the size of a PC compared the Xbox system. So how can you perform an Xbox 360 self repair to combat the 3 red lights problem due to overheating?

Here are a few tips to prevent overheating:

My girlfriend used to make me keep my console all neat and tidy in a cabinet so if that happens to you tell her you need to take it out of it's "neat home". Your console system Broadband Tv get rid of the hot air if its in a small enclosed area so it's best to keep it out of any cabinets.

Another tip is to keep the power brick off the floor. It has a fan that gets rid of hot air from all sides so if you put the power brick on an open box it can do this more effectively and you'll decrease the chance of your Xbox 360 freezing due to overheating problems!

There are a few techniques circulating on the internet that tell you how to overcome Xbox problems and technical issues but most of they provide a temporary fix broadband speed meter a week or so and then the problem comes back.

Late Genting's Founder Faced Rejection

The road to success is never a one straight line. The road depicts a long journey. Lets take our education system for example. You would need at least 13 years of study before this society sbcglobal internet accept you as a university graduate.

The late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong is a solid example of a hard core entrepreneur - from rag to riches. He will, without question remain a legacy for the Malaysians. After accumulating a mass of wealth at the late age of 50, he had a vision to build a hill resort near Kuala Lumpur. He poured his entire fortune of RM4 million into the project. He even invited his friends to invest RM1 million into this venture for a 10 per cent stake. I'm sure at that time, he was surprised that his friends rejected his generous offer and even gave him the wet blanket. They warned Tan Sri Lim that the project would fail. I believe those were his closest friends, but yet he was not spared from their unkind remarks. Without saying, Internet Tutorial proved them wrong. The Genting Highlands resort was a great success.

Today, the Genting Group is Malaysia's leading multinational corporation and one of Asia's best-managed companies. The Group has over 40,000 employees globally, 11,000 acres of prime resort land and more than 200,000 hectares of plantation land. The Genting Group is the collective name for Genting Berhad and its subsidiaries and associates that comprises five listed entities with a combined market capitalisation of over US$22 billion (*as at 22 August 2007).

One of Genting's subsidiary, Genting International has 46 casino properties in the UK under the brands of the Stanley Leisure group. In Singapore, it is developing Resorts World at Sentosa, an integrated leisure and entertainment resort on Sentosa Island.

Lessons to be learned:

Success belongs to those who have great visions and determination. Tan Sri Lim pursued his dream and never gave up.

Believe in your dreams and don't let others pull you down. At certain points in our life, we will face people who don't share our dreams. Never ever let their negative words stop you from achieving your goals.

All genuine problems will have solutions. Knowing that the resort would be located high up in the mountain, it would be a hinder to visitors. So he built a road up the mountain in 1968.

A strong wireless network can have a very positive effect on virtually any community which has one in place. The benefits go way beyond just simple entertainment, a strong wireless network ensures that even residents on a tight budget can remain in contact with friends and loved ones and it can provide an incredible resource for the education of students of all ages; from entering school all the way through graduate school.

Staying Safe

Communities that have a municipal wireless network in place can have all emergency service Broadband Services online from right inside their vehicles. Laptops on board in police cruisers, ambulances and fire trucks give emergency personnel access to detailed maps of the city and will allow transmission of photos of suspected criminals and detailed layouts of buildings and houses. The laptops will also allow for silent communication between officers and other emergency personnel via e-mail and instant messaging. Wireless cameras will also allow real time footage to be transmitted from emergency vehicles directly back to the station.

Education

Community wireless networks will often allow for wireless internet connection, free of charge to schools, colleges and libraries opening up the world's largest resource - the internet - to classrooms and students. This will allow younger students to experience activities and get knowledge that may not have been available to them for years to come, all while keeping the expense for hard copy resources down. Books, streaming videos, educational games and activities all become available to teachers and students with little more than the click of a few buttons. What would have taken hundreds of dollars worth of books to teach can now be imparted to young students on a few cents worth of copy paper.

High school and college age students also get big benefits from the ability to log onto the internet. Students won't have to worry about hunting down volumes that may be needed by other students and competing for time with the materials that they need, regardless of day or time, even if every single student needs the same resource it will be available via the internet.

Some municipal wireless networks are even offering a wireless internet connection for students to access at home after school hours. This means that the education can be continued beyond the school walls. Students won't be limited to learning from Streamyx Broadband tremendous resource just during school hours - even if their family couldn't otherwise afford a wireless connection these students would be able to continue their education at home after school hours.

Netflix (NFLX) - Downgrades miss the mark

Birds-Eye.Net analysis of stock Netflix (NFLX) including future prospects.

Apple unleashed Speed Check iPhone in June 2007, after years of speculation and rumors. Boasting a full-feature set including a touch screen, a camera, Wi-Fi Web Mail Tmnetmy and of course, a fully-functional installment of the iPod, the iPhone was hailed by many as the product of the year before it was even released.

Could the iPhone live up to its hype? We got our eager hands on one to find out for you. The first thing we noticed when we took it out of its packaging was the design of the iPhone: it is very streamlined and thinner than most phones. Overall, up to par with other Apple products, which are all beautiful, to say the least.

After using the phone for a couple of hours, here are the things that we were impressed with. First off, we found the iPhone very accessible. The menus were logically set up and browsing the phone was intuitive, not to mention fun. The phone's browser, 'Safari', provided the best web surfing experience we've yet to witness on a phone. The phone's display is also noteworthy, providing a very crisp and bright image, at a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels.

One of the most controversial features of the iPhone is its touch keypad. Apple shed the traditional tactile keys found on phones in favor of an electronic keyboard. Keys are pressed on the linksys broadband router using your thumbs. While we got used to the electronic keyboard after a while, we still miss the ability to feel the keys with our fingers.

The iPhone isn't perfect: it can only be used with AT&T (although several users have managed to unlock the phone) and the email implementation is feeble to say the least. Yet it is still a very exciting phone, and largely lives up to the hype. Definitely recommended, if you can afford it.
